HEG is staffed with a licensed civil engineer, a licensed surveyor, and six in-house survey crew members. Up to three survey crews can be deployed at once.
Civil Engineering
Our civil engineering services include all phases of site design, including preconstruction services, construction design of roadways, site layout and grading, drainage systems, infrastructure design, site remediation, and NPDES permits for larger projects. As part of our services, we provide inspections of utilities as well as construction observations.
Land Surveying
Our land surveying services include topographic surveying and mapping, subdivision mapping, construction layout, property stakeout and ALTA surveys. We also do horizontal and vertical movement monitoring and utility toning.
Our survey team uses Topcon S‐6 and/or S‐8 robotic instruments and Topcon semi‐robotic instruments for horizontal traversing, and Topcon or Sokia digital levels for vertical elevations. All data is recorded on TSC3 digital recorders. We also have GPS capability with Spectra Precision – Epoch model units. Our personnel are experienced (with 6‐8 years of service with HEG), trained (all personnel have 40 hour HAZWOPER certificates), and our drafters have over 30 years of drafting experience and use AutoCAD version 2019 with a Carlson package installed.
